Who we are

Azelus is a content production and social media studio based in Manchester, England, operated by Joshua Sacks. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Azelus is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

The quickest way to reach us about anything on this page is joshua.sacks@azelus.co.uk. We do not publish a street address; if you need one in writing for a formal request, ask and we will provide it.

What we collect, and why

The only place this site asks for personal data is the enquiry form. It collects:

• Required: your name, your email address, the service you are interested in, and your description of the project.
• Optional: phone number, brand or company name, website, social handles, budget range and timeline.

We use it for one thing: to read your enquiry, reply to it, and — if it turns into a project — to scope and quote the work. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list.

Our lawful basis

We process enquiry data under legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): you contacted a business to ask about its services, and replying to you is the reason the form exists. You can object to this at any time using the contact details above.

If we ever start sending marketing email, that will be on the basis of your consent, asked for separately, with an unsubscribe link in every message. We do not do this today.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry passes through the following third parties. These are the only ones.

• GoDaddy — hosts this website and our email. Your enquiry is written to a log file on the server and emailed to a mailbox on GoDaddy's infrastructure.
• SuiteDash — our client management system. When you send the form, a contact record is created there holding your name, email address and any phone number, brand name, website and project details you gave us, so the enquiry does not get lost in an inbox. SuiteDash is based in the United States, so these details are transferred outside the UK.
• Google (YouTube) — the portfolio page loads two video thumbnails from YouTube's image servers. Loading that page therefore tells Google your IP address and browser, in the same way visiting YouTube would.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become projects: deleted after 24 months.
• Enquiries that become clients: kept for the duration of the working relationship and then for six years, because HMRC requires business records to be retained for that period.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner, and we will unless we are legally required to keep it.

Cookies and storage

This website sets no cookies — not for analytics, not for advertising, not at all. We run no analytics or tracking scripts of any kind. That is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

The enquiry form does write a single flag into your browser's own session storage after a successful submission, so the thank-you page knows the form was sent. It contains no personal data, never leaves your device, and disappears when you close the tab.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify it if it is wrong or incomplete.
• Erase it, where we have no overriding legal reason to keep it.
• Restrict or object to our processing of it.
• Port it to another provider in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these, email joshua.sacks@azelus.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after that means you accept the revised version.
